A few weeks ago I posted dende here: free hosting on computers shared by strangers. The feedback was honest and it stuck with me. Nobody wants their backend and secrets running on a random person’s PC. So I changed direction. dende now turns the computers you already own into your own cloud. Your PC, your laptops, the office machines that sit idle at night. How it works: Run dende connect on each computer you want to use Run dende deploy in your project folder Your backend gets a secure link you can share A few things it handles for you: Runs your backend on two or more of your computers, so if one turns off, another keeps it up When someone starts using a computer, dende steps aside and moves the work to an idle one Backends run in a locked space, away from your files No router or Wi-Fi changes needed It works for one developer, a team sharing one network, or a company that wants its data to stay on company machines. It’s in private beta. I’d love honest feedback, especially from anyone who self-hosts or runs a homelab. Link: dende.cloud submitted by /u/bshal_che [link] [comments]
