I had a kid, went for lots of walks, got cold hand researching places I passed and ended up building an app for (my aunt liked the idea). I have no clue how to do marketing, but i swear the app is cool!

Wait 5 sec.

Honestly, I'm just proud and would be psyched to get anybody to have a look and let me know what they think about my app. I build [wikitracks](https://wikitracks.app) over some sleepless nights with my kid on my belly, to go out the next day and discover more places on my walks. I started out with a small service on my homelab server + telegram bot and only started building this as an app when my family got interested haha. I've now build a flutter app (working on the ios release rn) with a cloudflare worker in the back that manages the wikipedia calls and also directs traffic to the AI when necessary. I didn't want to deal with any data or account topics, so there's none. Everything is stored only locally - the only information I can see is which wikipedia articles get triggered (not by whom though). I don't know if anybody cares, and that's okay. I've had a lot of fun building this and will probably keep going. If you end up giving the app a spin - thank you! I'm curious to hear your thoughts here in the comments of via DM! submitted by /u/5ong6 [link] [comments]
