C R K Stables debutante JOYFUL FLIGHT (f, 2, Flightline–Joyful Cadence, by Runhappy), pegged at morning-line odds of 4-1, was friendless in the market, jumped at an overlaid 83-10 from a high draw and came away from a solid-looking field to score by about five lengths en route to 'TDN Rising Star' presented by Hagyard honors on the official closing day of the fall meeting at Keeneland.Adelita (Jackie's Warrior) pinged the gates and was quickly to the fore, but she had some company from Quartz Mountain (Golden Pal), in off the also-eligible list. Joyful Flight settled in clear air from third and made her move at the top two on the swing for home. She hit the front three off the inside with better than a furlong to race, wanted to lug in a bit once making the lead and bolted up impressively. Fellow firster French Sand (Omaha Beach) was up for second, while Quartz Mountain held for third.Joyful Flight is the 12th winner from the first crop of her sire (by Tapit) and is his third 'TDN Rising Star'.Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0.
