I don’t think the people I talk to want to be average though... If you want to stay average, keep your 9-5, put your money in a 401k, and wait for a raise that depends on whether HR decided you were a good boy or girl this year. Or bet on yourself, own equity in something, and actually control your own outcome instead of letting somebody else decide it for you.
