I built a workout log with an AI coach that can actually change your plan (you approve first). iPhone + Android, free to start

Wait 5 sec.

I’m the solo developer of Hadid, a strength-training log for iPhone and Android. I wanted a tracker that stays out of your way, so logging is fast and the app never nags you. The AI coach is the part I’m most curious to get feedback on, so here is what it actually does. It answers from your own training, not generic advice. If you switch it on, the coach can read your logged workouts, body weight, measurements and goals. You can ask things like “why did my squat stall?”, “how was this week compared to last?” or “what should I change next week?” and it answers with your real numbers. Each of those data types has its own on/off switch in Settings, and it asks for your consent before it shares anything with its AI provider. It can do things, not just talk. It proposes changes as a card, and nothing happens until you tap Apply: build a routine or a multi-day plan swap, add or remove an exercise in a routine you already have arrange your week from the routines you’ve saved, or set up a rotating plan set a goal, or log today’s weight or a measurement rename or delete a routine, and change a few settings like the rest timer It can read a photo of a plan. Snap a handwritten or printed program and it turns it into a routine. Anything it isn’t sure about (a smudged exercise name, say) is flagged so you confirm it before saving. It can explain the app itself. Ask “how do I export my data?” and it answers or opens the right screen. That kind of help is free and doesn’t use up your messages. Pro extras: it can compare two of your progress photos next to your training volume (18+ only), and it can remember things like an old injury if you opt in. What it isn’t. It can’t see you, it doesn’t know your injuries unless you tell it, and it’s sometimes wrong. I treat it as a second opinion to think about, never an instruction. Using it needs an account. Free accounts get a monthly allowance of messages and Pro gets more. Everything else works without an account: fast set logging with last time’s numbers beside each set, programs that suggest your next weight, progress charts, measurements and CSV export. It also works fully right-to-left in Arabic and Hebrew, and the coach will answer in the language you write to it. Free to download: App Store link · Google Play link I’d love blunt feedback, especially on whether the coach’s answers feel useful or generic, and on which things you’d want it to be able to do next. submitted by /u/9292yo [link] [comments]
