How are male nurses viewed in your hospital/state?

Wait 5 sec.

This post came up on my IG and I thought WTF?! This is from IG: mehlman_medical. He says men should not go into nursing because they should pursue something with higher income. He also goes on to say that the only good male nurses are the fermionized ones. As a man pursuing a career in nursing, I think this is pure BS! I know some nurses who make more than some doctors and I know some nonfeminine male nurses who are amazing nurses who spend the time to advocate and educate their patients. I am curious, how do you all feel about male nurses? How are male nurses viewed in your hospital/state? I don't want to cause tension, I am curious to see what biases are out there for male nurses. I personally have only heard positive things about male nurses and this is actually the first I have ever heard about male nurses being viewed as incompetent. submitted by /u/ForAChange2Happen [link] [comments]
