Oil India Ltd. announced a significant natural gas discovery in a shallow-water block of the Krishna Godavari Basin. The Godavari-1 appraisal well achieved a peak test flow rate of 200,000 Standard Cubic Metres Per Day. Currently, the well's output includes gas flow at 100,000 SCMD and additional condensate production. This discovery highlights the importance of domestic gas supplies amid India's increasing reliance on imports.
