Hey everyone, I have been working in the past with few app that needed close to real-time sync with user calendars (Google, Apple, Outlook, etc.), but constantly polling external ical feeds was inefficient and slow. To solve this, I built YourCals (yourcals.com) - a simple middleware that polls iCal feeds in the background and sends clean webhooks to your backend as soon as an event is created, updated, or deleted. Key features: Adaptive Polling: Frequently updated calendars sync faster automatically. Flexible Budget Controls: Fine-tune polling frequency and set strict call limits per feed to keep infrastructure costs completely predictable. Simple Integration: Generate credentials, set up an endpoint, subscribe a calendar URL, and handle events asynchronously. It's live now and saving me tons of backend headaches. I'd love to hear feedback from other devs - what calendar integration features or pain points are you currently dealing with? Do you work with icals / webcal, if yes what industry? submitted by /u/ImHereJustForAWhile [link] [comments]
