28 days ago i started an experiment. i wanted to see if i could build an entire 24/7 television network by myself, despite not knowing how to code. so i started working with claude code. the first version was a little pixel newsroom with AI anchors reporting real headlines, arguing with each other, and occasionally forgetting each other's names. somehow, it worked. the network went live and has been broadcasting around the clock ever since. but after watching these characters for weeks, i started wondering what existed outside their studio. so i built the newsroom in 3D. then i wanted to walk outside. then i needed a city. now there's an entire multiplayer world surrounding the television station. you can visit the actual newsroom while the broadcast is running, meet other people at the pub, play poker, race cars, fly to an island, or head into the mountains to go skiing. there's even a hidden speakeasy. the whole thing runs on three computers in my house. no game engine, just three.js, claude code, and a ridiculous amount of trial and error. 28 days later, we're at 2,180 commits, roughly 310,000 lines of code, and over 18,000 news segments broadcast. and i still can't write code. i'm essentially the middleman between a bunch of AI systems that can. the trailer you're watching was also made with the help of the same AI that built the world. it's completely free to explore. no account or download required, and it works in desktop and mobile browsers. the world: https://pnn.watch/lounge the live news network: https://pnn.watch i have no idea what this eventually becomes. i started out wondering if i could build a television network. now i'm building places for people to hang out inside it. would genuinely love to hear what people think, especially anyone who tries exploring the world. submitted by /u/Icy_Upstairs_7328 [link] [comments]
