I got tired of digging through VS Code, Chrome, Terminal and Slack windows all day, so I built DeskPile

Wait 5 sec.

My Mac desktop is always a mess. VS Code, Chrome, Terminal, Slack, Figma... way too many windows open. Every time I switch tasks, I waste time finding and rearranging windows. I tried Stage Manager and Spaces, but neither really worked for me. So I built DeskPile. The idea is simple: group windows by task (coding, design, chat), hit a shortcut, and the whole group comes to the front, exactly where you left it. I've been using it daily for months, and honestly, it's hard to go back. A few things I added: Different layouts: columns, grid, main + side Colored borders for each group Works with Spaces and multiple monitors Native Swift, ~3 MB, no account or telemetry Free for 2 groups. $25 one-time for up to 9 groups and custom shortcuts. No subscription. macOS 14+.
