I fly 737s for my main job as an airline pilot, and for the last while I've been building a net worth app on my days off. It's called Pocket Stacks. Once a month you type in what you've got and what you owe: savings, super, shares, the house, the car loan. It totals it up and keeps a record, so you can see if you're actually going forwards and what made the difference. The part people find odd is that there's no bank syncing. You enter the numbers yourself. I tried the auto-sync apps and found I never really looked at anything, especially the credit card. Typing it in once a month makes you face it. It also means no bank logins handed over to anyone. It's A$19 once, no subscription, no account. Everything stays on your phone unless you turn on sync, which is encrypted. My wife uses it too, and one purchase covers a couple if you want to track together on two phones. It's a web app you add to your home screen, so it works on iPhone, Android and desktop. Would really like some honest feedback: - Does typing it in yourself sound good, or like homework? - One-off $19 or would you rather a cheap subscription? - Anything on the site that doesn't make sense? https://pocketstacks.com.au/ Thank you in advance! submitted by /u/Western-Entrance-809 [link] [comments]
