Rainfall alerts remain in place for October 23 across several states and Union territories, with the IMD forecasting heavy rain in Coastal Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and continued rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Thunderstorms and gusty winds are also expected in parts of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, while Odisha is forecast to face thundersqualls on October 27 and 28.
