Erling Haaland’s future will certainly be affected by the FA’s punishment of Manchester City after they were caught breaking up to 115 rules. The Citizens continue to fight, but an independent body has already determined that, indeed, they broke the rules and now the Premier League can act.Recent precedents against teams like Everton show that City will certainly be hit hard with some of the harshest penalties in the game and they will almost certainly be relegated from the top flight. If that happens, we expect their best players to find new homes to continue to play, and Haaland is a player who will probably leave the club for a new home.Arsenal’s Interest in HaalandThe Norwegian is a superb player and one of the best in the world, so Arsenal wants to sign him to replace the misfiring Viktor Gyokeres. However, the competition for his signature continues to increase, as a report on Fichajes says that PSG, FC Barcelona, and Real Madrid are also in the running.Haaland’s quality is not in question, and his goal-scoring record speaks for itself, but the competition for his signature is fierce. Arsenal’s interest is genuine, but they are not the only club monitoring the situation.(Photo by Michael Regan/Getty Images)The Obstacles to a MoveHaaland could choose not to play for another Premier League club out of respect for City, and that makes it hard to see him moving to Arsenal, and the Gunners may not be willing to break the bank and accommodate his gigantic salary at City. The financial demands would be significant, and the club must weigh the cost. The Norwegian’s loyalty to City could also be a factor, as he may prefer a move abroad rather than joining a rival. The competition from Europe’s elite makes the task harder, and Arsenal’s chances are uncertain. The coming months will show how the situation develops, as the FA’s decision could reshape the transfer market. Haaland’s future is uncertain, but a move away from City seems likely. The Gunners will be watching closely._____________________________________________________________________________________________ADMIN COMMENTSo here are some simple rules which I must insist commenters follow….You agree not to give any personal abuse to other Arsenal fans.
