Harry Kane has called on his Bayern Munich team-mates to "step up" in the absence of Michael Olise when they face Arsenal in the Champions League.Olise is suspended for the league-phase clash at Allianz Arena after receiving a red card in Bayern's 3-3 draw with Viking last time out.Since the start of last season, Olise has created more chances than any other player in the Champions League (44), made the joint-most defensive line-breaking passes (43), and only Lamine Yamal (55) has completed more dribbles than the Frenchman (54).Across Bayern's last 23 Champions League matches, the only team to beat them by more than one goal is Mikel Arteta's Arsenal (3-1 win in November 2025).With Olise unavailable, Kane believes this is the perfect opportunity for someone to prove their worth in the side."When one of your key players is missing, you definitely feel the difference. But that's exactly when other players have to step up and make the most of this opportunity," Kane told the club website."Whoever plays has to be ready. That's the nature of the competition at Bayern – and it's a key factor. Everyone trains to an extremely high standard."Others can step in and, hopefully, do a really good job."Next up: a huge Champions League clash at the Allianz Arena https://t.co/Hjs1IANtiA— FC Bayern (@FCBayernEN) October 18, 2026Former Tottenham striker Kane has plenty of history with Arsenal; he has scored 15 goals in 22 career appearances against the Gunners – his third-highest total against an opponent in his career, only netting more against Leicester City (20 in 20 games) and Everton (16 in 17 games).Bayern have only lost one of their seven Champions League home games against Arsenal (W5 D1), winning the last three in a row, and two of which by at least four goals (5-1 in both November 2015 and February 2017).Kane is relishing the chance to play at home against one of the top teams in Europe, with Arsenal finishing runners-up in the competition last season."When you're playing against one of the best teams in Europe, you always have to savour moments like this," added Kane."We're up for the challenge. We're playing here at home – the energy, the fans – it's sure to be a special night."The post Kane urges Bayern players to step up in Olise’s absence for Arsenal clash appeared first on SoccerNews.
