I’m behind ThermoSafeguard, a Windows 10/11 (64-bit) app for CPU temperature monitoring and thermal control. The idea is to go beyond displaying a temperature: the app can temporarily regulate CPU performance as heat rises. That trade-off can help reduce freezes and blue screens related to excessive CPU heat, on compatible hardware. It does not treat every crash as a heat problem. The Free plan works locally without an account. It includes CPU/temperature monitoring, thermal control, graphs, sensors, logs and a CPU-fan Cooler Booster where safe control is supported. The optional Pro subscription adds four selectable thermal bands and use on up to two simultaneous devices. I’d appreciate feedback on the presentation: is the difference between monitoring and thermal control clear, and is it easy to understand what is free versus paid? Hardware support matters, so I’m also interested in which compatibility information people would want to see before trying it. For anyone choosing to install: the current installer is unsigned, so Windows may display an unknown-publisher notice. No account or payment is needed for the Free plan. submitted by /u/Key-Ad-8113 [link] [comments]
