NHC daily: 241.12 reclaimed, 247.79 remains overheadNational HealthCare CorporationBATS:NHCSmalldikenergyNHC daily: a rebound has recovered 241.12, but 247.79 is still overhead. The developing October 20 daily candle is green inside a larger rising structure. At the observation used here it opened at 240.44, reached 244.99 and traded around 243.53. The day is unfinished. That rebound follows Monday's red candle, which opened at 244.73, reached 245.96, fell to 234.84 and closed at 239.24. Recovering part of that decline is useful evidence, but it is different from clearing the recent swing high. The selected advance runs from the September 30 low of 219.51 to the October 16 high of 247.79, a 28.28-point range. Retracing 23.6% of that advance places the first shelf at 241.12. The 38.2% reference is 236.99, the midpoint is 233.65, the 61.8% shelf is 230.31 and the 78.6% reference is 225.56. These levels organize one identified swing; they do not establish resting orders or predict which level must hold. The 50% midpoint is a conventional range reference rather than a Fibonacci ratio. The immediate test is whether price can retain the recovery above 241.12. A held pullback there, followed by acceptance above Monday's 245.96 high and the 247.79 swing high, would strengthen the constructive route. A subsequent retest that holds above 247.79 would make the drawn 255.48 extension relevant. That extension is the high plus 27.2% of the selected swing, not a promised target. A wick above resistance followed by a close back below would leave a different setup. For the weaker route, rejection near the recent highs followed by renewed acceptance below 241.12 would put 236.99 back in focus. Monday already traded through that shelf before recovering some ground. Another loss would bring its 234.84 low and then the 233.65 midpoint into the comparison. Deeper retracement references are 230.31 and 225.56; their presence on a chart is not a reason to keep widening an invalidation after a nearer setup fails. The 55 EMA is rising around 225.15, close to the deeper 78.6% reference, while RSI is around 64.2. The trend and momentum retain strength, but neither cancels the overhead rejection area. Price is also well above the average, which means a nearby failed reclaim and a full trend failure are different risk events. I would wait if the rebound cannot retain its first shelf or if the only evidence is a developing candle touching resistance. A conditional map still needs a chosen invalidation, affordable loss and allowance for gaps. Would you require a held 241.12 pullback first, or acceptance above 247.79 before treating this rebound as more than a repair?
