Writes Bill Madden:What we are experiencing is the logical conclusion of an economic cycle where a relatively few super-rich families own and control everything. The wealth transfer from the people to these wealthy rulers has been present since our founding due to the crony capitalism present at our founding. Things are just getting worse as technological advances have displaced millions of middle class workers and increased the wealth transfer from us to them. Why do we have so much debt? We have so much debt because the super-rich controllers own major equity in Corporate America which includes the large banks. Because they own most shares in the large banks, they also own the Federal Reserve Banking System which controls our business cycles. Why are we always at war? Because they own our defense industry and wars are as profitable for the owners as they are destructive for the country. Why do we have fiat currency instead of real, constitutional money? Because our dollar is created from nothing and real money is a store of value. Fiat currency can be printed in excess and, the more money sloshing around, the more revenue for the owners. They get the government squandering first while it still has the value present at the time of printing – the Cantillon Effect: https://www.swfinstitute.org/news/89070/what-is-the-cantillon-effect-and-why-its-even-more-important-now. Based upon the velocity of money at any given time, it might take one or two years after the money printing for prices to rise and adjust to the excess fiat currency (fake money) in circulation. Now, the only thing that will stop our continual rise in prices is a severe recession. The few deviations from our Constitution mentioned in the paragraph above should never be because the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land. Unfortunately, it appears that the super-rich owners of our country have been able to “influence” sufficient members of the three branches of government to create an unconstitutional, rogue government of, by and for the rich. We are no longer a constitutional republic, we are a plutocracy – one of the prices of our ignorance and apathy. We continue to elect the same political prostitutes to office because the super-rich families fund the primary elections of malleable whores so that, in the general elections, we usually elect one of their candidates. The recent primary loss of Congressman Massie is an excellent example of special interest money used to control an election. The post The Illusion of Freedom: How Wealth and Oligarchy Captured America appeared first on LewRockwell.
