First day of school, my 14 year old sister was told that her natural combed afro is not tidy and she should relax or always have it in braids. They also said even though it's cold school rules want them to wear skirts because it's the third term. Something happens every now and then and I'm reminded that Zimbabwe is not just a country, it's also a state of mind. I have the time and energy to escalate this but is it worth it anyway?
