A full-sister to this year's G1 Grand Prix de Paris winner Maltese Cross (Sea The Stars) features among 668 lots catalogued to sell at the Arqana October Yearling Sale, which takes place from Tuesday, October 20 to Friday, October 23.The October Yearling Sale has produced a number of top-level winners over the last 20 years, including the Classic scorers Avenir Certain, Metropolitan, Natagora, Paddington, The Grey Gatsby and Treve.Usually held over five days, the sale will be staged over four days in 2026, with 80 boxes at the nearby Cour Morny yard being utilised to make the more condensed format possible. Part 1 gets underway at 11am on Tuesday, October 20, with the two sessions of Part 2 being held on Wednesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 22 beginning at 1pm. Part 3 then starts at 11am on Friday, October 23.Part 1 will offer lots by leading stallions such as Bayside Boy, Blue Point, Camelot, Dark Angel, Galiway, Havana Grey, Justify, Kingman, Mehmas, New Bay, Night Of Thunder, No Nay Never, Siyouni, Sea The Stars, Sioux Nation, Starspangledbanner, Study Of Man, Teofilo, Too Darn Hot, Wootton Bassett and Zarak.A number of first-season sires will also be represented, including Ace Impact, Chaldean, Erevann, Good Guess, Little Big Bear, Mishriff, Modern Games, Onesto, Paddington, Vadeni, Native Trail and Shaquille.Lot 43 from Haras de la Cour Blanche could receive a significant update a couple of weeks prior to the sale, with Maltese Cross currently featuring among the market leaders for the G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, while the yearlings from the first crop of Ace Impact include lot 50 from the Écurie des Monceaux draft, a colt out of the G3 Prix de Letuce heroine Pacifique.
