He is brilliant at keeping the ball under pressure and passing through opposition defenses, making him a major talent to watch in La Liga. The yellow submarine hasn’t started the season that good, considering Marcelino’s dismissal, but they have high hopes on the Rodri regen. ** Xavier Mandza (OGC Nice)** French football keeps producing high-energy midfielders, and Mandza is Nice’s latest star in the making. Mandza brings constant energy and tackle-busting runs to the center of the pitch. He is at his best when driving the team forward on the counterattack. He already featured 3 times already in 26/27 season and can also play as a defensive midfielder. After impressing in pre-season games against big clubs like Manchester City and Marseille, the academy product earned real minutes in La Liga. His main attributes include tireless pressing and toughness, isn’t afraid of challenges and can plays as CB or RB. ** Reigan Heskey (FC Köln) ** The son of former England striker Emile Heskey, Reigan is hopefully making a name for himself in Germany this season. A fast and versatile forward who can play anywhere across the front line, is one to keep an eye on. His main position is LW and he likes taking on players. His G/A has been excellent in youth level and I would love to seem him replicating this at senior level. Time will tell but El Mala has a worthy challenger to spar with. ** Marc Santos (Levante) ** The youngest debutant in La Liga and first born in 2010 (if I'm no mistaken) he plays on the left side, working well as either an attacking full-back or a winger. He loves taking on defenders one-on-one and is easily one of the most exciting teenagers in Spain right now. Him and Perez are definitely going for big money if they keep developing at such rate. Still, it’s quite early to tell but Levante seems to do a great job with their youngsters. ** Nathan De Cat (TSG Hoffenheim) ** Perhaps, he's one of the most known players in this list. Hoffenheim paid €20m to bring this 18 y/o Belgian international over from Anderlecht. De Cat is a huge defensive midfielder who combines size with smooth dribbling skills. He breaks up opposition attacks easily and quickly starts plays for his own team. Now, he’s going to face the biggest big test since leaving Belgium, but the feelings is that his value will skyrocket, Hoffenheim has proven this in the past, where many players go to be away of the light of media. ** Ruddy Matondo (Paris FC) ** Matondo has become a key player in the middle of the park for Paris FC. He is a very highly energetic midfielder who wins back possession and immediately plays simple, forward passes to start attacks. His energy and smart positioning make him a standout player in France. Paris paid 20m euros to Auxerre to get him last season, and it’s not a coincidence. Now is the time to show his real value, and working under Rosenior might be a gift for him. ** Hamza Abdelkarim (FC Barcelona) ** After making history as Al Ahly’s youngest player, the 18-year-old Egyptian striker moved to Barcelona and made an instant impression. He scored four goals in pre-season and earned a spot in Barca's main squad. Having already played in the 2026 World Cup, he is a natural goalscorer with great instincts in the penalty box. After failing to land Julian Alvarez, and with a Gabriel Jesus coming back after ACL and other injuries, many Barca fans, including in r/soccer, think he will get many minutes this season. Definitely an interesting profile to follow. ** Sean Steur (Newcastle United) ** Sean Steur plays with a cool head, rarely loses the ball, and controls the pace of the game with simple, accurate passing. He gives Newcastle a bright, technically gifted option for the future. Obivously, it still is pretty early to tell how he is going to be used and what his role will be, but the potential is definitely there and Jaissle is known to have developed talent throught he’s career. There were many teams in for the Dutch youngster which means the Newcastle value him. ** Wael Mohya (Borussia Mönchengladbach) ** At just 17, Mohya is already Gladbach's youngest-ever Bundesliga player. He is a creative attacking midfielder who can use both feet, making him tricky to guard in tight spaces. Whether playing out wide or as a central playmaker, his vision and dribbling make him a super fun player to watch. BMG hasn’t started so good this year, and in general is struggling in the past few years, but he’s 100% a player to watch with a bright future.
