Indian Railways is set to enhance monitoring by installing AI-enabled CCTV cameras in pantry cars and base kitchens across the East Central Railway (ECR) zone. The initiative aims to strengthen oversight of food quality and hygiene, with continuous surveillance of catering operations. Passengers will continue to be able to register complaints through the Rail Madad platform. The move comes ahead of the festive season, when passenger demand is expected to rise.
