In 2015, AP+I Design gave a dark 1,328.5-square-meter office in Mountain View a completely new life. The designers brought in light, openness and a stronger connection to the outdoors, while also focusing on energy use. Eleven years later, the project still stands out. It remains Mountain View’s first commercial zero-energy building, a lasting example of how thoughtful design can make a workplace brighter, healthier and more sustainable.
