Unfortunately they were so poorly managed that there was no paper trail, and every single time I talked to someone, it was a different person because the last person had quit. I'm going to view all of that as a red flag next time around. And I'm going to demand copies of everything in writing. I don't even know what I was thinking not asking for a copy of the contract. Definitely a difficult life lesson. I mean by comparison, my other dog's rescue sent me mountains of material pertaining to the adoption, you can contact them any time with concerns, they have their own behaviorist you have remote access to for the duration of the dog's life, and there's a highly active Facebook group for adopters to chat that also has several of the pros on there quickly commenting on any post about someone struggling. Just absolute night and day.
