The initial lots for Arqana's Arc Sale have been released, with the Wertheimer et Frere homebred Proof (Dubawi) one of 34 lots catalogued. The sale is set for after racing on Saturday, October 3 at Saint-Cloud.A winner of the Listed Prix Pelleas and third in the G2 Prix Guillaume d'Ornano, the three-year-old son of Dubawi is set to sell as lot 40. Trained by Christopher Head, Proof is rated 111 and placed in the G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud at two. He is also a half-brother to four black-type winners, among them group scorer Soustraction (Lope De Vega), while Arc heroine Solemia (Poliglote) is also on the page.The Aga Khan Studs will offer lot 21, Mirik (Kameko), who was second in the Listed Prix Francois Mathet this spring, before winning the Listed Grand Prix de Clairefontaine in August and running second in the G3 Prix Gerald de Geoffre earlier this month. He is rated 105 and is from the family of multiple Australian Group 1 winner Manighar (Linamix).Trained by Nicolas Clement and Frauke Hermans, Golden Savior (Ghaiyyath) (lot 28) is also entered. A winner of her last two starts, including the Listed Criterium de l'Ouest, she is out of a half-sister to Golden Horn.The second and third in the G1 Deutsches Derby, Chiefland (Study Of Man) (lot 34) and Salitos (In Swoop) (lot 32), are also entered. From the yard of Henk Grewe, the German Derby bridesmaid won the Listed Derby Trial in May before his Classic heroics. His dam is a full-sister to G1 Caulfield Cup winner Durston (Sea The Moon). Salitos, trained by Peter Schiergen, was beaten just a half-length in the G2 Derby Italiano and is rated 108.Another lot of note is Skyridge (Goken) (lot 55), who has been given a mark of 102. From the family of top level winner Mourayan (Alhaarth), the Nicolas Perret consignee won the Listed Criterium de Lyon after placing second in the Listed Prix des Jouvenceaux & Jouvencelles.Last year, the sale grossed €6,240,000 for 23 lots sold from 39 lots offered (59%). The average was €273,304 and the median was €255,000.
