The customer then concluded, “If you didn’t knock it over, why did you go out of your way to pick it up?” the video said. According to the footage described in the video, Mike was the only person seen touching the flower pot. The customer then sued Mike and demanded that he pay for the damage, the video stated. Mike kept trying to explain what had happened, but because the key part of the footage was missing, he had no way to prove his side of the story. For delivery drivers, disputes over missing items aren’t isolated, as when an Instacart driver delivered an order and got a signature, only for the item to be reported missing.
