Superintending Engineer (Water Supply) Pallam Raju and Executive Engineers Sudhakar and Muralikrishna accompanied him.The GVMC Commissioner urged eligible residential complexes and establishments to obtain dedicated bulk pipeline water connections linked to the nearest elevated service reservoirs or sumps after paying the applicable charges. The processing of applications is expected to be completed within three months, Mr. Garg said.The GVMC currently operates 135 bulk connections and over 8,100 semi-bulk connections, which together supply more than one lakh kilolitres (KL) of water daily across the city.Mr. Garg said: “Drinking water supply remains a non-negotiable priority,” and directed officials to implement a special action plan to ensure uninterrupted water distribution. The Commissioner also assured residents that sufficient water was available in the city’s water sources.During the inspection, residents of MVV City Apartments complained of acute household water shortages despite receiving some partially treated water.
