Elle Fanning knows her way around a fashion week front row.For Coach’s spring 2027 show in New York yesterday, the actress went for a bright red take on the classic leather pencil skirt. Dressed by stylist Sam McMillen, Fanning completed the look with a black blouse, black pumps, a beret, and a white star-covered Coach bag.Fanning looked just as chic getting ready in a Hotel Chelsea robe with hairstylist Jenda Alcorn and makeup artist Erin Ayanian Monroe before changing into the statement-making red-and-black look and topping it off with a leopard-print coat. The occasion was a big one for Coach: The American house is celebrating its 85th anniversary this year, and Stuart Vevers approached the milestone with nostalgia on the brain. The birthday-party theme made its way onto the runway, where models wore cone hats and carried confetti-covered bags before an actual shower of confetti closed the show. Fanning skipped the cone hat for a beret but clearly got the headwear memo.Fanning has plenty on the horizon herself. Earlier this year, she and her sister, Dakota, spoke to ELLE about stepping further behind the camera with their production company, Lewellen Pictures. The sisters are also preparing to appear onscreen together for the first time in The Nightingale, expected to come out in 2027. “After having forged our own paths and our careers and acting styles separately, being able to come together just feels right,” Elle told ELLE at the time. For now, though, her latest production involved red leather, a very good beret, and a front-row seat.
