Deion Sanders got candid with his son Shilo about his future in the NFL. However, things unravelled fast, and after Sanders punched an opponent during the Bucs’ final preseason outing against the Buffalo Bills, the organization were left with no other choice but to cut him from the roster.Shortly after the incident, Bucs head coach said, via the team’s website: “You can’t throw punches in this league. That’s inexcusable. They’re going to get you every time. Gotta grow from that.”At the time, Deion publicly backed his son and claiming that he would be “straight” in his future career, whether that was in football or not. But in private, it has since come to light that the former Dallas Cowboys legend knew that Shilo’s career was hanging in the balance. In a recent vlog on his YouTube channel, Deion and Shilo recalled the conversation that they had together after the incident against the Bills, which ultimately brought an end to the young defensive back’s pro football career. “You wanted to be Jack the Ripper on the field,” Sanders said during Shilo’s YouTube vlog. “You wanted to be Mike Tyson knockout on the field. …“You think it’s over? Yeah, dog. Pack up all your stuff, dog. You look back. You drive home with a straight face. It’s over. I’m not one of those fathers to sugarcoat it. “You wanted me to say, ‘No, dog…You got a chance.‘ You wanted me to console you. You were looking for ”It’s going to be all right’… No, it ain’t going to be all right. He has even publicly turned to brother Shedeur – albeit in jest – to see if he could sway the Browns into affording him an opportunity to get inside the building and show what he could do.But it appears that he has now acknowledged that when he’s in the gym, he is working out just a regular person now, and not as an athlete seeking to reach the professional level. “I just be like working out like just as a human,” Shilo said back in May. “But training and stuff, like getting ready, and you have a set day, like camp starts, like a whole different type of training.“It takes a special kind of guy to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I don’t think there’s any light in my tunnel.”Instead, Sanders appears to have doubled down on content creation with his YouTube channel having grown to 313,000 subscribers, while his Instagram account boasts 1.3 million followers.
