In a recent investigation, researchers assessed the coffee and tea drinking practices of almost 10,000 older women. Results indicated that those who preferred tea had slightly improved bone mineral density at the total hip. Interestingly, high coffee intake, particularly more than five cups a day, was associated with decreased bone density. Yet, moderate coffee consumption seemed to have little impact on bone health.
