Karnataka's Congress government has ordered singing only the first two stanzas of Vande Mataram. This directive applies to state-organized programmes, excluding those with top dignitaries. The Union Home Ministry had previously directed singing all six stanzas of the national song. This decision aligns with the Congress Working Committee's 1937 resolution on the matter. The state order aims to maintain uniformity and appropriate protocol for national song renditions.
