The Great Blue Hole looks almost too geometrically perfect to be natural: a dark circle of deep water surrounded by the bright turquoise shallows of a coral reef. Located within Lighthouse Reef Atoll off the coast of Belize, this enormous marine sinkhole measures roughly 984 feet (300 meters) across and about 410 feet (125 meters) deep.
