In 1766, British physicist isolated and described hydrogen triggering the evolution of science and modern green technology. Henry Cavendish identified hydrogen as a separate gas and called it inflammable air. His work on gases, water, electricity and Earth’s density influenced later chemistry and physics and helped establish methods used in modern scientific research.
