Maltese footballer Caden Tanti has another big result to celebrate in Italy after helping Genoa’s Under-18 side secure an impressive 2-1 victory over Juventus.The young Maltese talent took to social media following the match, sharing photos of the Genoa squad celebrating after getting the better of one of the biggest names in Italian football.Genoa struck almost immediately through Carmine Cozzolino before Juventus found an equaliser. The Rossoblù ultimately reclaimed the lead through Christian Mastropietro to seal all three points and hand Juventus U18 their first defeat of the new campaign.And for Tanti, it’s another memorable moment in what is quickly becoming an exciting journey abroad.The 17-year-old joined Genoa from the St Andrews youth setup in January 2025 and has since established himself within the Italian club’s academy system.During the 2025/26 season, Tanti made 23 appearances for Genoa U17, including 21 starts, while also finding the back of the net twice. He signed his first professional contract with Genoa in January 2026, marking another major milestone for the Maltese youngster.Tanti has also represented Malta at youth international level, making him one of a growing number of young Maltese footballers testing themselves overseas.From Malta to Genoa and now celebrating a victory over Juventus, the journey continues.Keep making Malta proud, Caden! •
