A Fort Worth, Texas, woman says she and her husband found a toddler wandering alone in the road outside their home before calling 911. She says no Fort Worth police officer arrived during the roughly 45 minutes they cared for the child. TikTok creator Hi Jenna (@skateparkmom) shared what she says happened in a September 2026 video. According to Jenna, she and her husband were sitting in their garage when they noticed what she estimated was an 18-month-old boy walking near a busy roadway. Jenna said she ran toward the child after seeing a vehicle pass close to him. She said she brought the boy inside, gave him water and a snack, and her husband called 911. Jenna said the child could not tell them his name Jenna said the toddler could not give them his name and could only say a few words, including “Mama.” She also said he was barefoot and wearing a diaper and T-shirt during a period of extreme Texas heat. About 45 minutes after the initial call, Jenna said several children arrived looking for their younger brother. Jenna said the mother told them the child may have gotten outside after another child left in an Uber. Jenna said she and her husband gave the child back to his mother. She then called Fort Worth police again to report that the child had been safely reunited with his family. But as Jenna noted, “Why didn’t Fort Worth PD show up?” Allegedly, a child was alone in traffic, with no police response. Jenna questioned why officers did not arrive after the couple reported finding a young child alone near traffic. The TikTok creator later said she and her husband went to the family’s home to check on the child. She said nobody answered the door, although she claimed vehicles were visible in the driveway. The Fort Worth Police Department‘s website confirms that 911 is the department’s emergency number and lists its media contact for inquiries. The department’s publicly available news page does not currently show a statement about the incident.
