James Maddison has barely had the chance to influence Roberto De Zerbi’s side this season, but Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes his return could help change the mood in North London.The Tottenham vice-captain missed almost all of last season due to an ACL injury, and his luck hasn’t improved much, even after a full recovery a few months ago. Maddison missed much of pre-season and therefore only featured as a late substitute in Spurs’ 3-0 defeat to Brentford on the opening weekend, but he fractured his shoulder in that game and consequently missed the following matches against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest.The England international was, however, spotted back in full training ahead of this weekend’s clash with Everton, which will hopefully give him an opportunity to play some part in the game and help Tottenham finally secure their first Premier League win of the new season. Despite that difficult start, former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes believes Spurs will eventually finish inside the top six.Scholes made the comments while discussing Tottenham with his former Man United team-mate Nicky Butt on The Good, The Bad and The Football podcast.Scholes said:“They were lucky to get a point on Saturday, by the way.
