Prosecutors Won’t Appeal KSM Ruling

Wait 5 sec.

Military prosecutors for the US government have decided to not appeal the recent decision by a military court that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s confessions to the FBI in 2007 were inadmissible. The military court previously determined that the prosecution could not prove that KSM’s confessions to the FBI were voluntarily given.  KSM’s lawyers argued that KSM was conditioned through torture by the CIA to say whatever his captors wanted him to say prior to the confession made to the FBI.Prosecutors claim that they have other evidence that they can use such as financial records and phone logs to connect him to the 9/11 attacks. If the United States had credible evidence obtained through lawful means that KSM was in fact the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks and if the United States or an allied government played no role in facilitating or enabling the attacks, then why was KSM tortured in violation of the law? The post Prosecutors Won’t Appeal KSM Ruling appeared first on LewRockwell.
