Benedict Ogbodiegwu Jr. Credit: Williamson County Sheriff’s OfficeAn incredibly bloody and horrific crime occurred earlier this week in Texas that could have been avoided had authorities done their job.As FOX 7 Austin reported, 62-year-old Andrew James Wimsatt, an accomplished civil engineer who published several notable works, was seen in video footage obtained from a neighborhood HOA sitting on a park bench in Round Rock at roughly 10:55 a.m. on September 7.Then his life ended a few minutes later. The footage goes on to show a black male with a knife in his hand sneaking up behind Wimsatt. The black person proceeds to stab Wimsatt multiple times in the neck while wrapping his arm around him.Wimsatt tries desperately to fight him off to no avail. He is stabbed several more times by the black male and left on the ground to bleed to death. The perp then wiped his blade off and ran toward a neighboring area.Wimsatt’s body was found near the Chandler Creek Trail. The suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Benedict Ogbodiegwu of Round Rock, was found at a home on Matagorda Drive in Round Rock several hours later. He was previously seen in footage from a McDonald’s restaurant in Round Rock following the murder. The video showed Ogbodiegwu leaving the parking lot as a passenger in a red SUV.A search warrant at the Round Rock home led investigators to the murder weapon, a knife with a 5.5-inch blade, a wooden handle, and a red substance on it. It was discovered in a trash can outside the home.Per the video reviewed by investigators, clothing that matched what Ogbodiegwu wore and used in the murder was also recovered.Ogbodiegwu was taken into custody afterward. He is facing a murder charge.Police investigators say that the attack was random and the two men did not know each other.Ogbodiegwu has a long record of criminal offenses, including two theft charges in 2017 and 2026. He was also charged with giving police false identification in 2026.Inexplicably, all three charges were dismissed. Now, he has taken a life in cold blood. If the justice system had done its job, Wimsatt would almost certainly still be alive today. The post HORROR: Wicked Monster Sneaks Up Behind Texas Man Sitting on Park Bench and Viciously Stabs Him to Death appeared first on The Gateway Pundit.
