Malta’s annual Pro-Choice Rally will return to Valletta on Saturday 26th September, with activists once again calling for the decriminalisation of abortion.Organised by Voice for Choice Malta, this year’s rally will kick off at 5pm from Castille Square, with participants marching towards St George’s Square.Once there, the event will feature a number of speakers alongside a performance by feminist choir Re-Sisters and others.This year’s theme is “Hey sis! Thinking of you!”, with organisers saying it is intended to highlight solidarity between women and people who can get pregnant.“Women in Malta have built a community that refuses to leave anyone behind,” Voice for Choice said, describing the rally as both a celebration of that solidarity and a renewed call for abortion to be decriminalised in Malta.“Let’s be the big sister that someone needs,” the group concluded. “Hey sis.
