More than 80 artists are coming together for this year’s Malta Society of Arts Members’ Exhibition, bringing everything from paintings and sculptures to photography, ceramics and printmaking under one roof.Titled KIND | STRANGE | BEAUTIFUL, the exhibition will open to the public at Palazzo de La Salle in Valletta on 18th September, running until 15th October.Curated by Prof. Charlene Vella, the exhibition brings together established practitioners, emerging talent and artists exhibiting publicly for the first time, alongside international artists currently living in Malta.Rather than following one particular style or narrative, visitors will be encouraged to explore the galleries freely and decide for themselves what they consider “kind, strange or beautiful”.“Visitors can therefore expect to encounter works that are technically accomplished, emotionally resonant, thought-provoking and, at times, surprising,” Vella said. The exhibition also marks the return of the Members’ Exhibition after a three-year absence, with MSA President Dr Joe Borg confirming that it is being relaunched as an annual event.KIND | STRANGE | BEAUTIFUL will be held at the Malta Society of Arts’ Art Galleries at Palazzo de La Salle, 219 Republic Street, Valletta.Best of all? Admission is completely free.Share with an art lover!•
