More than 40 cats is insane. There's no way you could possibly care for all of them properly. I once had 4 cats for a week (2 were mine, 2 from two different friends who just happened to need a cat sitter for the same week) and I struggled a lot. Throwing money at a problem may work in some cases, but animal care isn't one of them.
