SIX has launched SIXMarket Signal, a new market data service providing real-time European equityprices through APIs.The service comes asSIX expands its European equity infrastructure. In October last year, SIXselected Aquis to build a shared trading platform connecting SIX Swiss Exchange,BME and Aquis, with the equity platform planned for next year. Separately, ESMAauthorised EuroCTP in July this year to operate the EU’s consolidated tape forshares and ETFs, combining pre- and post-trade data from multiple venuesinto a single feed. Retail investors will receive free access once the servicebecomes operational.SIX Launches Real-Time European EquityDataAt the centre of SIXMarket Signal is 1BBO, a real-time feed showing the best bid and ask prices forcash equities. It uses order book data from SIX Swiss Exchange and BMEExchange, while also covering 16 European markets through Aquis Exchange.Only direct exchangedata feeds, typically used by market makers and execution desks, provide fasteraccess to prices, SIX said.SIX Market Signal alsoincludes historical and intraday data, with additional datasets expected to beadded over time.Exchange Data Service Launches via APIThe service extendsmarket data access beyond trading desks, with use cases including wealthmanagement, benchmarking and compliance. Swiss retail investors can subscribeimmediately, with EU and UK rollouts planned.Users will also belicensed to train trading models and AI agents, while APIs allow brokers,fintechs, banks and other firms to integrate the data into their systems.SIX Market Signal usesviaNexus technology for real-time distribution, entitlement management andcloud API delivery.
