Tanzania’s First Gentleman, Hafidh Ameir Hassan, has been buried following his death at the age of 80.Hassan died at a hospital while receiving treatment after a heart attack. He was buried at his home in Kizimkazi, South Unguja Region, Zanzibar, on Monday, the same day he died, in line with Islamic burial traditions, which generally require the deceased to be buried as soon as possible after death.His death marks a personal loss for President Samia Suluhu Hassan, one of his two widows. He also left behind four children and 15 grandchildren.The burial was conducted shortly after his death, with family and close associates gathering to pay their final respects.
