The tavern isn’t switching to a special walk-in-only setup simply because the Christmas event is underway.Technically, this isn’t the first Christmas party season for The Beak and Barrel.The tavern was already operating during the 2025 holiday season after opening that August. The difference in 2026 is accessibility and familiarity. Once you factor in arriving for the reservation, checking in and getting back into the park afterward, it can consume close to an hour of the evening.During a normal Magic Kingdom day, that might not seem particularly important.During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, it is.The entire appeal of the event comes from having access to experiences that aren’t normally offered during regular park hours.
