Something I've noticed is that a lot of beginner mistakes don't really feel like mistakes when you're making them You might spend twenty minutes changing one sentence because it doesn't sound good enough. Or keep adding personality to a piece until the actual point gets buried somewhere underneath it. Then at some point you look back at work from a few years ago and immediately see what you were doing. Was there anything like that for you? A writing habit, a rule you followed too closely, or something you picked up from copywriting advice that you eventually stopped doing?
