Six stocks in the BSE 250 Small-cap Index hit fresh 52-week highs as the Sensex gained 138 points to close at 74,902. Welspun Corp led with a 51% monthly gain, followed by Finolex Cables, Chennai Petroleum and Maharashtra Seamless.
