AXON, a financial infrastructure company building an orchestration layer for banks, fintechs and businesses, announced today that its Canadian entity, AXON TECHNOLOGY INC., is registered with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) as a Money Services Business (MSB). The registration establishes a regulatory foundation for AXON’s operations in Canada as the company develops its international financial infrastructure. FINTRAC’s public registry lists foreign exchange, money transferring, virtual currency and payment service provider activities. As a registered MSB, AXON’s Canadian entity operates within Canada’s federal anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing framework, including applicable compliance, identification, monitoring, reporting and record-keeping obligations. Building infrastructure for a multi-rail financial system Traditional banking now operates alongside card and local payment networks, instant payment systems, stablecoins and digital-asset infrastructure. While financial institutions have more ways to move and settle money, operating across multiple providers, systems and markets creates additional complexity. AXON is building a single orchestration layer through which banks, fintechs and businesses can connect to and manage these different financial operations. Rather than requiring institutions to integrate and manage separate infrastructure for each provider or financial rail, AXON gives customers one environment to build, route, settle and control financial operations across markets, networks and technologies. The platform is designed to work with existing financial infrastructure without requiring institutions to adopt a single blockchain, stablecoin or proprietary payment network. “Banks don’t need to become crypto companies to access the benefits of digital assets or new financial rails,” said Malek Alzubi, Co-Founder & CEO of AXON. “They need infrastructure that lets them connect to these systems compliantly, while preserving the controls, relationships and operating models they already rely on. Our Canadian Money Services Business registration strengthens the regulatory foundation needed to connect traditional and digital finance across markets.”Building infrastructure across markets The Canadian registration forms part of AXON’s broader strategy to build financial infrastructure capable of operating across jurisdictions while accommodating the regulatory, banking and liquidity requirements of individual markets. AXON has also signed Pulsar Money as its first Neobank Design Partner and designated banking partner covering the UAE and European markets, providing an additional foundation for the company’s expansion across multiple jurisdictions. AXON’s platform is designed to allow institutions to add new providers, financial rails and jurisdictions through one operating layer, helping them launch products, expand into new markets, and manage fragmented financial infrastructure without rebuilding their operational stack market by market. The milestone comes as AXON moves from platform development toward commercial deployment, expanding its regulatory footprint and institutional partnerships across multiple markets. The company is currently completing a $5 million Seed round to support its next phase of growth. NoYesPayments09 Sep, 2026
