A hop on hop off shuttlefollows a curated sketching route through the city. Workshops and sketchwalks will take place in parks and along the Danube, examining how people interact with urban nature, how architecture responds to its surroundings, and how the river is used and enjoyed. The event will bring together approximately 80 participants, six tutors, and seven volunteers. It aims to build connections among local and regional sketchers, inspire youth and students, and strengthen the Western Cape sketching community. Participants will explore and document Stellenbosch’s rich heritage, architecture, natural beauty, and vibrant street life. The event will explore more than four centuries of urban evolution, from Qutb Shahi and Asaf Jahi palaces, forts, mosques, bazaars, and streets to modern civic spaces and Hyderabad’s thriving technology sector. Through sketchwalks, workshops, and shared experiences, participants will document the city’s architecture, culture, commerce, and everyday life.
