Budapest airport was overwhelmed by unprecedented demand before last season’s final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, with 280 private jet flights being handled. The airport had to turn down requests from a further 105 private jets, which had to be accommodated at other airports across Hungary and even in neighbouring countries. Madrid’s Bernabéu stadium is up against Morocco’s Hassan II stadium in Benslimane, 40 miles from Casablanca, to host the 2030 World Cup final.
