Disney says the slide stretches 186 feet.That matters for families planning a resort afternoon away from Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure. Disney has not stated that the work is intended to exclude children, nor is there evidence of a deliberate “lockout.” This is a temporary refurbishment with published end dates, but the practical result is still clear: the hotel’s most child-focused water recreation is unavailable for much of September.Disneyland hotel refurbishments are not unusual, either. Disney called it the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States and highlighted its rooftop Finding Nemo recreation as a central part of the property’s identity.That transformation is why temporary amenity losses can carry extra weight. Disney markets the property around Pixar design, themed recreation and its rooftop experience.
