Primary Weapons Systems has added the MK110 Alpha to its limited-edition Alpha lineup. According to the company, only 150 units are being produced, with each rifle individually numbered. Once the run sells out, PWS states this specific configuration will not be produced again. The MK110 Alpha is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and built around a 10.5-inch, 416R stainless steel barrel with 5R rifling and a 1:7 twist rate. PWS states the barrel is designed to accommodate mid- to heavy-grain .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO projectiles. The company backs the rifle with its standard sub-MOA accuracy guarantee when used with high-quality ammunition. The price comes in at $2,799.95. The rifle runs on the PWS Long Stroke Piston System with adjustable gas settings. PWS also describes the upper as suppressor-optimized, with a configuration that minimizes back pressure and gas blowback. Muzzle hardware consists of the PWS FRC 2-Port Compensator, which is compatible with the PWS PUB suppressor mount as well as the Rearden Atlas and Q Plan B mounts. The lower receiver is machined from 7075-T651 forged aluminum, is ambidextrous, and was developed in-house. The handguard is PWS's ALPHA design, a steel plate reinforced M-LOK rail with hardened screws and anti-rotation tabs. A Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle (the best in the business if I can have a say) and a Geissele Super Dynamic Enhanced (SD-E) trigger round out the controls. Buffer system components include an A5 Enhanced Buffer Tube, A5 H2 Buffer, and Sprinco A5 Spring. PWS notes the buffer tube attaches via its Ratchet Lock Castle Nut and endplate assembly, which is intended to prevent loosening without staking and includes a built-in QD mount.Furniture consists of a Magpul MOE SL-S stock, Magpul K2 grip, and a Magpul 30-round PMAG. The rifle carries a green anodized finish on the receivers and handguard. PWS notes that variation in color between parts can occur as a result of the anodizing process. These are, of course, studio photos, but the color looks great, and you can see some color variations between batches even here. The complete rifle weighs 6.0 pounds unloaded. The MK110 Alpha is covered under the PWS VOW lifetime warranty, which covers repair or replacement for manufacturing and design defects. This is not the first rifle in the Alpha limited edition series. For instance, PWS previously released the MK113 Alpha in 2023 with a 13.8-inch barrel in a run of 250 units, followed by the MK114 Alpha in 2025 with a 14.5-inch barrel in a run of 100 units.
